Regent is the gentlest step into this chapter — bergamot, mandarin and grapefruit still open it brightly, but jasmine and orange blossom in the heart give it more polish than a straight summer citrus, and the amber-woody base of cedarwood, patchouli and tonka is where it earns its place here. What makes it work as a transitional scent is pacing: the citrus doesn't fade abruptly into the amber, it eases into it over an hour or two, so you get a genuinely two-stage fragrance rather than a scent that just smells different at the start and end. Rey is inspired by YSL MYSLF, and it leans further into fougère territory than anything else in this guide — bergamot and grapefruit still open crisp, but black pepper and tonka in the heart give it a warmth the purely citrus scents in our last chapter didn't have. Full Throttle is inspired by Ex Nihilo's Speed Legends Living on the Edge, and it sits squarely in the middle of this guide's brief — pink pepper and bergamot keep enough energy to still read as warm-weather, while clary sage and blackcurrant in the heart add a green, slightly sharper edge than the sweeter scents around it.
